“This legislation will encourage Colorado’s higher education system to work together to increase accessibility and student achievement,” said President Shaffer. “By deregulating the transfer process we are opening doors to countless students, improving success and strengthening our workforce.” The Colorado Commission on Higher Education will be working with the governing bodies of the institutions of higher education within the state to create 14 transfer agreements based on degrees that are in high demand in the workforce. HB 1208 was also sponsored by Republican Senator Keith King (R-Colorado Springs) in the Senate and Representative Nancy Todd (D-Aurora) in the House.
